The only damage was a broken front trunion. A guy I know had an out-of-battery KB on his MAK. This rifle had an Egyptian Maadi receiver, but all the other parts came from Chinese MAK-90 parts kits. The biggest drawback to any Chinese AK, be it a pre-ban Poly or a post ban MAK is the availability of spare parts.
